ready Compact Identifier Format

General Information
Compact Identifiers consist of a unique prefix indicating the assigning authority and a locally assigned accession number (prefix:accession). This provides a mechanism for uniquely identifying locally assigned identifiers globally. The Identifiers.org (https://identifiers.org) and N2T.net (https://n2t.net/) resolvers provide stable resolution of Compact Identifiers by sharing a common namespace prefix registry.

Implementing Databases (1)
Identifiers.org Registry
The core of the Registry is a catalogue of data collections (corresponding to e.g. controlled vocabularies, databases), their URIs and the corresponding physical URLs (or resources). These resources are monitored daily to ensure data accessibility and the validity of the resolution mechanism.
