Abbreviation: SEED

General Information
The Standard for the Exchange of Earthquake Data (SEED) is a data format intended primarily for the archival and exchange of seismological time series data and related metadata. The format is maintained by the International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN). Originally designed in the late 1980s, the format has been enhanced and refined a number of times and remains in widespread use.

Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology Data
IRIS provides management of, and access to, observed and derived data for the global earth science community. IRIS membership comprises virtually all US universities with research programs in seismology, and is dedicated to the operation of science facilities for the acquisition, management, and distribution of seismological data. IRIS programs contribute to scholarly research, education, earthquake hazard mitigation, and verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.

RESIF Seismic data portal
The RESIF Seismic data portal offers access to seismological and other associated geophysical data from permanent and temporary seismic networks operated all over the world by French research institutions and international partners, to support research on source processes and imaging of the Earth's interior at all scales. RESIF (French seismologic and geodetic network) is a French national equipment for the observation and understanding of the solid Earth.
